Igor Makarevich and Elena Elagina. Art Analysis

Works by a pair of conceptualists in dialog with the masters of mature socialist realism.


Makarevich and Yelagina have already created installations devoted to Soviet artists who are totally or somewhat forgotten today. Their new project will be staged in museum halls devoted to paintings from the 1940s and 1950s, the period of mature socialist realism that gradually became the Thaw.
