Kostya Belyaev. Cage

An archetypal image from the age of modernism is reinterpreted by a Russian contemporary artist.


In his new works, young artist Kostya Belyayev considers the grid, which in imagery from the modernist era was second in popularity only to the square. He presents a series of drawings of crumpled mesh structures that resemble plaid fabrics.
