Victor Kalinin. Inherited Wind
A famous 1970s artist present quotidian landscapes, portraits of his near and dear, and views of the Altai region.
Kalinin's paintings are remarkable for their vibrant colors and rich texture. They contain elements of Vrubel's symbolism, Pavel Filonov's "analytical painting" and Picasso's cubism, although the temperamental brushwork is entirely Kalinin's own.
