Theo van Doesburg. A New Expression of Life, Art and Technology
Van Doesburg loved right angles and the three primary colors, and in 1917, together with Piet Mondrian and others, he created the De Stijl group and an artistic movement called neo-plasticism. He dreamed of a radical renewal in art, in order to create a "new, better world." The show includes more than 140 paintings, graphic works, pieces of furniture and stained glass by van Doesburg himself, as well as art by his colleagues.
