World of Impressions. Impressions from the World. Doctor Zhivago’s Journeys
The central character in this project is not the one invented by Pasternak, and he did
not write poetry. Alexander Vasilievich Zhivago (1860–1940) traveled across Europe and Africa and, with a poetic immediacy, recorded his impressions using his camera.
