Two of Amenemhet: Portraits of the Middle Kingdom King
Two statues of the pharaoh Amenemhat III (one from the Pushkin, the other from the Hermitage) will "meet" for the first time
at this show. Amenemhat ruled in the 19th century BCE, founded the city the Greeks called Crocodilopolis, built a labyrinthine temple, and erected two pyramids for his burial.
