The members of the Neue Slowenische Kunst (New Slovenian Art) association, which emerged in the former Yugoslavia, includes the Laibach group and the IRWIN art collective. NSK was the nucleus of the local, underground avant-garde, and after the Soviet collapse it focused on the problems facing the post-communist world.
